Haapaniemi Ice Rink
Sundholmantie 87
The Haapaniemi ice rink is a great example of an active and well-functioning village community – the rink is assembled and the ice maintained by local residents. Beside the cozy rink you’ll find a changing room for swapping gear, as well as a small campfire spot where you can warm up or even grill sausages during your skating break. It’s a good idea to bring your own firewood.
Haapaniemi has both a boarded rink for games and a small separate area for skating without sticks. The rink is lit, so you can practice your pirouettes even in the evening.

Pyhämaa Church Village Rinks
Mäkitarhantie 22
In the beautiful traditional landscapes of Pyhämaa, in the schoolyard of the village school, there is a fairly large ice field for stick-free skating as well as a small boarded rink that’s perfect for playing and taking slap shots. The rinks are lit from early morning until late evening, and a changing room is available.
Right from the corner of the ice rink starts an easy cross-country ski trail of just under two kilometers. Pack some snacks and head out for a full day of outdoor activities in Pyhämaa!

Kalanti Ice Rinki
Urheilutie 2
Kalanti has several skating rinks. At the upper field by the sports hall, you’ll find a full-size (30 x 60 m) boarded rink, ideal for playing matches and practicing wrist shots. The rink is lit from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., and there are two changing rooms on site.
For younger children and fans of casual skating, the Männäinen outdoor ice rink frozen next to the Kalanti daycare center is a great option. This rink also has lighting and a changing room.
If you’re wondering whether your favorite rink has already been frozen or if a ski trail is open, you can check the current situation on the city’s website:
