They came up with the idea of an online magazine that would present local life and the range of opportunities available – a magazine that would act as the messenger of the Uusikaupunki lifestyle.
“We want to highlight the city and its opportunities with more than just fun slogans. With the human-interest stories in the online magazine, we can provide a true and lifelike image of the city and its residents,” says Heinonen.
The purpose is to create articles for the website in active interaction with city residents. The editorial office is happy to receive tips about interesting stories in line with the content, and you can participate in the discussion about the articles on the city’s social media channels, for example.
“The website is a way of marketing the city to out-of-towners, especially those thinking of moving here from somewhere else. However, current Uusikaupunki residents are also one of our target groups,” Heinonen explains.
Many of the articles will be published in both Finnish and English. Heinonen considers bilingualism important.
“This fairly small gesture helps us take into account both current and future residents who speak either Finnish or English.”
I hope you enjoy being with us!
